Known from Forth (Currie, Edinburgh, x 1910), Dee (Cambus o’May, 6 ix 1975), Solway (Port Patrick, 21 ix 1953; Caitloch House, Glen Cairn on Lactarius pallidus), Tay (Glen Lyon on L. pallidus, 30 ix 1961), Moray (Plodda Falls, Glen Affric, on R.densifolia, 2 ix 1951; Culbin forest 6 ix 1988 & 16 ix 2003; Aviemore on R.? delica, 15 vii 1987; Culbin Sands, on Russula adusta, 24 viii 2005; Abernethy, on R. adusta, 25 viii 2005) and Clyde (Shore of Loch Lomond, 10 x 1979; Falls of Clyde). Also on R. nigricans, Caircalach 14 ix 1967. Recorded from Colonsay, Mull on Russula adusta & R. nigricans An unlocalized Greville collection probably from Forth is in E but not localised. In Stevenson recorded from Forth, Tay, Clyde, Moray & Ross.
TFTaDMSSoCAR A. parasitica Silky Piggyback On dead Russula and Lactarius spp. Recent records from Solway (Glen Cairn, 1 x 2000), Dee (Dinnett Wd., 6 ix 1975), Clyde (Ben More Gdn., Dunoon, on R. nigricans, 25 ix 1981), Tay (Black Spout Wd., Pitlochry, on R. delica, xxxxx), Moray (Badger falls, Glen Affric, 5 ix 1988) and Forth (Gifford, x 1910). Also record on R. nigricans, from Ulva 18 ix 1967 and Arran on R. nigricans. In Stevenson from Forth, Tay, Clyde, Argylle & Ross.
TFTaDMSSoCAR C. gambosa St.George’s Mushroom Widespread both on banks and in hedgerows near fields and in pastures. Records from Forth (East and Midlothian: Tyinghame, v 1910 & 1911, Aberlady, 7 v 1961 & 13 v 1963; Gullane v 1972 & 13 v 75; Yellow Craig 29 v 1976; Currie nr. Edinburgh, v 1970), Sutherland (Strathy Point, 14 v 1985 & Druim Chubhu with Juniperus, Dryas & Salix repens see Savage Field Mycol. 9), Tay (Blair Atholl, 20 v 2003; Murthley estate, 22 v 2003), Tweed (Dawyck, Swiss Bridge; Duns, 30 v 1995; Granthouse, Berwickshire, 27 v 1996 & Abbotsford, Selkirk, 10 vi 1963), Solway (Mull of Galloway Wigtonshire, 26 v 1986), Ross (Evanton, 1 v 1992) and Clyde (Chatelherault where it was surrounding Ulmus in a Picea plantation). Known from Shetland and Orkney, and from Iona. An old collection dated vi 1879 from Braid hills, Edinb. is in E. Ag. (T.) borealis which does not differ sufficiently from C. gambosa to warrant separation is recorded in Stevenson from Tweed (Jedburgh). Recorded in Stevenson from all areas incl. Dee but excepting Sutherland, Solway, Argyle and Ross.

TFTaDMSSoCAR C. ditopus Mealy Frosted Funnel In mixed woodland in leaf litter. Recorded from Solway (Forest of Ae, 12 x 1985), Clyde (Chatelherault), Tweed (Dawyck, 10 xi 2000), Forth (Gifford, 18 xi 1958) and Tay (Crieff & Kindrogan); also Mull and Shetland.
TFTaDMSSoCAR C. fragrans Fragrant Funnel Common and widespread in open woodland, at wood margins etc. amongst leaf litter. Recorded from several sites in Clyde (Upper Clyde valley), Tweed (Dawyck, 2 x 1997 thru’ 16 x 2001), Forth (Mortonhall, Edinb., x 1898 & Haggies Moss, Fife, 19 viii 2002; Aberlady, 29 ix 1967), Moray (Abernethy, Glenmore Forest Pk., Uath Lochan, 19-25 viii 2005), Tay (Murthley Est., 22 v 2003), Sutherland (Strathnaver under bracken Dennis, 1955). Also records from Lewis, Barra and Mull in the Hebrides and Finstown, Orkney and North Hoy. Single collection from 610m. on Ben Lui, 16 viii 1954 - Argylle. Although C. suaveolens has been separated on spore-print colour there seems to be no good reason to keep these two taxa separate. Known under the latter name from Tay (Kindrogan, 13 ix 1970), Moray (Loch an Eilean, 14 ix 1957), Tweed (Dawyck, 14 ix 1994) and Arran. Known in Stevenson from all areas incl. Dee & Solway but not Sutherland.
TFTaDMSSoCAR C. favrei In Rhacomitrium heath Argylle (914m., Ben Lui x 1962).
TFTaDMSSoCAR C. harmajae in wet mossy grass Finstown, Orkney and Moray (Abernethy, 30 viii 1989). Considered by some to be the same as C. amarescens, which has been found in Forth (mulched Herbaceous Border RBGdn., Edinb.)
TFTaDMSSoCAR C. brumalis In frondose woods but nowhere common; few recent records. Known from Forth and Dee (Hazelhead) in addition to Skye but species variously interpreted. Recorded from Tay, Moray & Clyde in Stevenson.
TFTaDMSSoCAR C. concava Three collections from Tay (same general locality in 3 sites about Rannoch, 11 x 1964 thru’ 7 x 1973).
TFTaDMSSoCAR C. ? lituus A doubtful record from Foula x 1986 with no supporting data; it is an illegitimate name.
TFTaDMSSoCAR C. metachroa Widespread and common in mixed and frondose woods, shrubberies etc. amongst leaf-litter. Recent collections from Tweed (Dawyck 23 x 1967 thru’ 11 I 2004), Forth (Gifford, 28 x 1952, Balerno & Edinburgh, Limekilns, 21 x 2004, in shrubbery, RBGdn., Edinb., 12 xii 2005), Solway (Glen Cairn, Dumfries, 1 x 2000), Tay (Black Wd., Rannoch, 25 x 1962 & 28 x 1963) and Mull. Also material from Moray (in Rhacomitrium heath, 752m. Ben Wyvis ). Recorded from several sites as C. dicolor e.g Clyde (Falls of Clyde), Tweed (Dawyck, 19 x 1995 thru’ 3 xii 2001), Tay (Rannoch, 15 x 1967 & Tentsmuir, 28 x 1965), Ross (Loch Carron, 23 x 1962), Forth (Coull Wd., Fife, 10 x 2000) and Mull but this species is now considered synonymous. As Ag. (Clitocybe) metachrous in Stevenson recorded from Tweed, Tay and Moray.

TFTaDMSSoCAR C. pausiaca Two collections one each from Tay (Dall, 16 x 1971, Black Wd., 10 x 19961 & Camghouran, 17 x 1964 thru’ 13 x 1968 all Rannoch, ) and from Forth (Balerno, 10 x 1960). These records possibly refer to C. foetens.
TFTaDMSSoCAR C. quercina Recent record from Tay (Black Wd., Rannoch, 31 x 1965). Single record in leaf litter under Quercus from Mull. Introduced by Hora (Trans. Brit. Mycol. Soc. 43,1960) but apparently the type material has been lost.
TFTaDMSSoCAR C. subcordispora This appears in Scottish lists as C. vibecina var. pseudo-obbata; recorded with Empetrum etc. on moorland on S. Ronaldsay and Stromness Mainland Orkney and Forth (Balerno, 305m., 22 xi 1953). Also a probable record from Argylle (914 m on Ben Lui, 12 x 1962) belongs to this variety.
TFTaDMSSoCAR C. subdryadicola A solitary collected from upland area with Dryas octopetala in Tay was collected on the Nordic Congress 1983.
TFTaDMSSoCAR C. subspadicea As C. umbilicata. In mixed woodland in leaf litter Tweed (Dawyck & Wooplair Lauderdale, 4 x1998); also record from Mull. These records probably refer to var. subspadicea J. Lge. a collection which is known from Tweed (Dawyck, 2 x 2000) and Tay (Black Wd., Rannoch, 3 ix 1953). See Omphalina umbilicata. A single record in Stevenson for Tay (Perth) collected by Buchanan White as Ag (Omphalia) umbilicatus.
TFTaDMSSoCAR C. vibecina Mealy Funnel Widespread in conifer woodland amongst needle-litter. Known from several sites in Forth (Bankhead Moss Ceres, 19 x 2003), Clyde (Upper Clyde Valley), Tay (around Kindrogan, & Black Wd., Rannoch, 31 x 1965), Tweed (Dawyck, 2 xi 2000 thru’ 5 xi 2004), Moray (Loch an Eilean, 11 ix 1957) and Ross (Kishorn, 23 x 1962). The records include those of C. langei, which is now considered to be synonymous. Many collections have been named the latter e.g. records from Tay (Tentsmuir, 4 xi 1965), Forth (Aberlady, East Lothian, 7 xi 1965; Stirling, 30 ix 1966), Moray (Glen Affric, 19 ix 1956) and Sutherland (Dunnett Links, 14 v 1985). Also a high altitude collection from Argyll (Ben Lui, 914m., 12 x 1962. Also from Fetlar, Gott and Strand, Shetland, Stromness, Orkney.Skye, Mull and Rhum.

TFTaDMSSoCAR L. connatum White Domecap Very common in gardens, parks, edges of woods etc., especially where there is some disturbance; often forms enormous clumps. Known from Forth (Eildon Terrace Edinb., 14 x 1991; Comley Bank, Edinb.,3 xii 1972 & 18 xi 1973, Doune Ponds, 22 x 1995, Dalmahoy, 29 ix 1973; Fife, 6 ix 1994; also several sites at RBGdn., Edinb., 4 xi 1967 thru’ 14 xii 1995), Clyde (Younger BGdn., near Dunoon & Chatelherault), Tweed (Dawyck ), Solway (Glen Cairn, 1 x 2000) and Tay (Loch Tay, 17 ix 1979, Ballantium, 29 viii 1976 & Murthly, 5 x 1956, Blackcraig nr. Blairgowrie, 21 viii 1966; Leuchars, 10 x 1965). Known from Arran, Scalloway, Shetland and on wasteland at Stromness, Mainland Orkney. Surprisingly not as yet recorded from the Hebrides and not in Stevenson.
TFTaDMSSoCAR L. decastes Clustered Domecap Rather common along tracks, in gardens, parks etc. open woodland often where there has been disturbance. Known from Forth (Dunfermline, 2 x 1979; Stirling & Doune Ponds, 14 x 1990 & 22 x 1995; in West range and old greenhouse RBGdn.,Edinb., 15 ii 1952 & 10 iv 1971-79 respectively; Craigleith, Edinb., 10 x 1985), Tay (Kindrogan, 15 viii 1974 & 11 ix 1984), Moray (Glen Affric, 29 viii 1957), Clyde (Falls of Clyde) and from Mull, Skye and Stromness in Orkney but not known in Shetland
TFTaDMSSoCAR L. fumosa In woods. Records from Forth, Tay and Dee but few voucher specimens. Not known from Outer or Northern Islands. As Ag. (Clitocybe) fumosus in Stevenson for Tay and Dee and if current thought is accepted also appears as Ag. (Tricholoma) cinerascens from Tweed and Tay but this probably more accurately represents the closely related L. decastes q.v., as it is unlikely that this taxon had not been found in Scotland during Stevenson’s time. In Add 1 noted, as var. polius, and most likely from Moray collected by the Rev. Keith. Ag. (Clitocybe) tumulosus recorded in Stevenson Add. 5 on thistle roots at Forres by Rev. J.Keith - Moray.
TFTaDMSSoCAR L. loricatum Recent records from Mull and Forth (Lothians), Clyde ( Chaterlhault and Falls of Clyde), Moray (Rothiemurchus, 9 ix 1960) and Tay (Kindrogan 20 viii 1970). TFTaDMSSoCAR L. gangraeosum Smoky Domecap Known from Clyde (Falls of Clyde and L.Nethan), Tay (Black Wd., Rannoch 21 x 1961 & 5 xi 1978 & Loch Rannoch, 19 xi 1967) and Dee (Forvie, 26 ix 1963) all as L. fumatofoetens. Single record as L. leucophaeatum from Egilsay, Orkney.

TFTaDMSSoCAR O. lignatilis On Fagus trunk. Single collection from S. Ronaldsay, 20 xi 2003 and recent record from Forth (Lothians). As Ag. (Pleurotus) in Stevenson Add. 9 and noted for Tweed (Roxburgh collected by Rev. D. Paul).
TFTaDMSSoCAR R. carnea Pink Domecap Widespread in pastures particularly in maritime communities. Known from Forth (Balerno, 6 x 1973), Tay (South shore of Loch Tay, 4 ix 1959, D.M.Henderson; Dalreaich, Kindrogan, 17 viii 1972 & St Andrews, 18 viii 1980), Tweed ( Dawyck, vii 2007), Tweed (Dawyck) and Sutherland (Stratnaver Reserve, Bettyhill, 17 ix 1972 & Druim Chubhu with Juniperus, Dryas & Salix repens, see Savage Field Mycol. 9) and Clyde (Falls of Clyde & L. Nethan). Known from Harris, South Uist, Rhum and Mull; Shapinsay, Eday and Mainland Orkney and Shetland including Foula, Fair Is., Mousa, Outer Skerries and St Ninians in addition to Mainland. Surprisingly only recorded from Moncrieffe (Tay) in Stevenson.
TFTaDMSSoCAR R. chrysenteron var, cerinum Yellow Domecap Rare. Single Scottish record with description from Tay (lawn of Manse at Glamis, 1877) in Stevenson with small description as Ag. (T.) cerinum. But collection in K also from Tay (Ballinluig), correctly determined by Berkeley.

TFTaDMSSoCAR T. palustris Sphagnum Greyling In Sphagnum bogs; common and widespread but surprisingly missing from Stevenson.. Found throughout the main areas of Scotland. Material from Moray (Loch an Eilean, 22 viii 2005; Abernethy, 25 viii 2005; Meall a’ Buachaille, 23 viii 2005; Granton on Spey, 26 viii 2005), Forth (Thruipmuir, Balerno, 9 vii 1954 & 24 vii 1978), Solway (Devils’ Beef Tub, Moffat, 20 vi 1988 & White Coombe, 11 viii 1984), Tay (Forest of Alyth, vii 1970 & 16 viii 1972, Rannoch & 17 vi 1978; Stormont Loch, Blairgowrie, 7 viii 1955), Argylle (Stob Garbh, 17 vi 1961) check locality. Also record under glass Forth (in Sphagnum in Drosera beds RBGdn., Edinb., 1 iv - 4 vi 1973). Known from Shetland, Arran, Mull and Colonsay but so far unrecorded from Orkney.
TFTaDMSSoCAR T. plexipes On soil by tracksides, in woods, in hill pasture etc. Variable fungus with several names applied to it including T. tesquorum under which it was recorded from Dee (Hazelhead Park, Aberdeen, 10 xi 1963), Tay (Camghouran, Perthshire, 5 x 1965), Moray (Tomich, 2 ix 1965 & Abernethy, 14 ix 1984), Forth (Loch Leven, 1 x 1983 & Dalkeith, 19 ix 1981; Denny Glen Ochils, 11 vii 1988; Midlothian, 17 x 1965), St Kilda and Shetland. Also from Tweed (Dawyck as Lyophyllum tylicolor, 2 xi 2000) and under same name from Tay (Angus, Kincardineshire, 5 ix 1953 & 1 ix 1954). Recorded from Tweed (Jedburgh) by A. Jerdon in Stevenson. Moray added in Add 8. As T. tesquorum amongst Juncus squarrosus, Shetland.
TFTaDMSSoCAR T. putida Also known as Tephrocybe putidella; see Orton Bull BMS (!984). However, some British interpretations refer in fact to T. fusispora; good material, however, from Tay (Dall, Rannoch, 7 xi 1967). Recorded from Moray (Forres) by Terry and possibly recorded from Tweed (Jedburgh) by Jerdon; description in Stevenson.
TFTaDMSSoCAR T. rancida Rancid Greyling In nutrient rich mixed woodland. Known from Forth (Roslin, 20 ix 1992), Clyde (Falls of Clyde & L. Nethan) and Moray (Tomich, 18 ix 1956 & Craigalachie, Aviemore under Betula, 6 ix 1960).
TFTaDMSSoCAR T. striaepilea In litter under conifers from Forth (RBGdn., Edinb., 17 x 1965), Mull. and Yeasnaby, Orkney. Check material. In Stevenson only recorded from Tay (Glamis, 1876). This epithet has been used several times for very different fungi. See Fayodia bisphaerigera and its synonym F. gracilipes.
Tephrocybe sp. ? recorded on mossy ground around old stumps in Stevenson from Tay (Glamis) under the name Ag. (Collybia) protractus. Thought to be agood species and considered to belong here by Noordeloos & Antonin (1997).
TFTaDMSSoCAR T. constrictum Placed in the genus Tricholomatella in virtue of the warty spores. Single records from Tweed (Gale Rigg, 16 x 1976) and Forth (Dundas Castle, South Queensberry, x 1997 as Tricholoma (Calocybe) leucocephalum).
