 A few collectors have dominated the accumulation of rust-fungi in the herbarium especially Wilson and Henderson (see publication). Their names are not added to all the collection data as this would make the entries unwieldy. Wilson’s collections stradddle 1920’s to the early 50’s Hebmderson 1953 until 1970s, and JA Mcdonald for collectiosn around St Andrews and especially Loch Duntelchaig, Inverness from mid-1930s until 1950s.

TFTaDMSSoCAR C. ledi var. rhododendri. This species has been studied intensively under the name C. rhododendri by A.P.Bennell in connection with its possible forestry implications. A summmary and condensate therefore of the hundreds of records he has accumulated is given. All records in E as C. rhododendri. Known from Mainland Scotland, Skye & Gigha on Rhododendron and from Kintyre on Picea abies.O & I known on several Picea spp. both ornamental and European taxa.

Records depend on Grove’s statement that it occurs here and he gives an illustration of the galled stems. This may be supported by a specimen formerly in BM, presumably now in K simply labelled ‘Scotland’. However, only confirmed British record is from Dorset.
