The rationale adopted herein is the same as that for earlier parts of the discomycete mycota, the records being expanded with information from the old Cryptogamic Society of Scotland (CS) and early records from its spin-off the Cryptogamic Section of the former Botanical Society of Edinburgh. This group has been greatly augmented by material from the Keith herbarium made possible through a permanent loan to E and from records in Foister’s Economic Plant Diseases of Scotland.

A Jerdon coll. on Corylus, undoubtedly from the Borders is doubtful as the ascospores are too large for this species.

Also as Clavidisculum acuum on Abies Mull & Shetland; Altyre (Moray) CS 1912. On dead P. sylvestris needles CS 1901 nr. Perth (Tay) & on attached branches of Pinus sylvestris, CS 1909. Recorded in Helotium with some doubt in Stevenson and recorded for Tweed.
C. caricis Raitv. As Dasyscyphus caricis var. minor on Carex, Harris. A closely unidentified but related Islay collection is close to Dasyscyphus calliomorphus.
C. fugiens (Phillips) Raitv. as Dasyscyphus on Juncus conglomerates Mull. As Clavidisculum on J. conglomeratus Arran, Skye, Islay & Rhum. Under-recorded as it is found to be widespread in favourable sites.
C. kriegerianum Kirchst. as Clavidisculum & Dasyscyphus. On fallen Picea needles, Rhum & Mull.

TFTaDMSSoCAR D. dematiicola (Berk. & Br.) Svrcek on various frondose woods incl. Rhododendron. As Hyaloscypha Clyde (on Fraxinus, Loch Lomond, 10 x 1979 & accompanied by Haplographium stage). Also known from Skye, Islay & Lewis where it was accompanied by the anamorph Haplographium delicatulum. The anamorph has been recorded for Forth (NE of Cairney Hill, Carnock, on Betula wood, 15 iii 1975).

TF?TaDMSSoCAR D. grevillei (Berk.) Svrcek As Dasyscyphus on dead umbellifer stems, especially Heracleum Mull and on Oenanthe Skye; known from Arran, Lewis, Islay & Orkney. In Stevenson recorded from Tweed, Forth, Dee & Tay. A collection agreeing in most part with this taxon from Forth (Callendar, 18 v 1957). There is an old collection in E as Peziza but no further data.

TFTaDMSSoCAR M. oedema (Desm.) Dennis as Peziza on leaves of Rubus Moray (Greeshope, 11 vi 1879, 25 vi 1879 & 13 vi 1879 all Keith coll.) These collections are referred to in Stevenson for Moray with description. It is a colonist of rust sori especially Phragmidium.
TFTaDMSSoCAR M. rubi (v. Hohn.) Rehm on Rubus fruticosus Mull - 3 collections. Also on leaves of same host; as Peziza no further data; Greeshope 11 , 13 & 21 vi 1878?, undoubtedly Keith collections). Known from Jura.

On deciduous wood Mull & Kintyre and on Sorbus aucuparia. Gigha. Old collections as Peziza Clyde (Dunoon leg. Plowright, Loch of Blair, 18 v 1876; Keith material from Moray on Salix aurita viii 1875 but no loc. - 2 collections. Recorded in Stevenson for all eastern Watersheds except Sutherland.

Moray (on dead branch of Salix, Nairn, vii 1987; on dead Betula, Glen Feshie, 6 vi 1958; Aviemore, as Dasyscypha, on Betula alba, i 1922; on Salix, Calvine, 22 ix 1983). In Stevenson recorded with description, on dead branches of Salix aurita for Moray.
