Glasgow Oct. 1930 with ‘stipite toto rubro’ in different hand. This latter collection is not R. emetica According to the Check List authors R. rubra (see below under R. pungens) refers to R. emetica but it is doubtful whether Stevenson would have not seen differences between what he called R. emetica and what was he referred to as R. rubra. Records of colonization by Apiocrea tulasneana a fungus general known to parasitize Boletus spp. known from Moray (Abernethy, 25 viii 2005; Curr Wd., 265 viii 2005; Granon on Spey, 26 viii 2005) and by H. luteovirens from Moray (same 3 localities as above). TFTaDMSSoCAR R. rubra This is taken in the sense of Romagnesi and may potentially represent R. pungens; recorded in Stevenson as R. rubra from Forth, Tay, Dee, Solway, Clyde and Ross; judging from the habitat details care must be applied to these records. Recorded in Stevenson Add 1. for Moray and in Add 4 Argylle. R. rubra see Reid and Austwick, 1963. As R. depallens recorded from Tay (Rescobie); this epithet often applies here although in some interpretations refers to R. exalbicans q.v..
