TFTaDMSSoCAR D. stillatus Common Jelly Spot Very common and widespread. Probably better known as Dacrymyces deliquescnes or D. lacrymalis, although specimens often exhibit only the conidial stage, in which state it is often found on worked timbers in gardens. Dacrymyces sp. Known from Tay (Tentsmuir, on Pinus wood 4 xi 1965).
Dacrymyces sp. Collection very probably not referrable to this genus. Recorded as Dacrymyces succineus Fr. on ‘pine leaves’ from Moray (Grantown, Rev. J.Keith) in Stevenson with description; it is unlikely to be the same as Tremella succinea Pers. nor D. fagicola, now synonimized with D. minor q.v., as suggested by some. It is Calloria succinea. Donk (1966) suggests it is the deuteromycete Sirocyphella succinea (Fr.) Hoehnel, whereas Rea (1922) accepts it with Peziza electrina Phill. & Plowr. as a synonym. Sutton considers Sirocyphella as an anamorph of Pseudocenangium.
