*based on the specimen-holdings in the Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh to 1998 after which accession specimen-information can be obtained on the Garden’s BG-base.
This second edition of Mycologia Scotica updates and builds upon the original publication by John Stevenson in 1878. This is the first edition to include ascomycetes.
Information is presented in a number of chapters with separate introductions for basidiomycetes and ascomycetes. Date sources for the basidiomycetes are provided here and within the introductory text for ascomycetes.
