Fried goat’s cheese
Ingredients
8oz goat’s cheese log (for 8 portions)
1/4 cup of plain flour
1 egg
1/3 cup of breadcrumbs - flavoured with 1/3 tsp of parsley, basil, oregano and black pepper
2 tbsp olive oil
salad to serve
Method
Slice log into 1oz portions. Dip into 3 bowls sequentially of: flour, egg (with a dash of water) and breadcrumbs.
Place in the fridge for an hour or quick freeze for 15 minutes.
Fry in olive oil over medium heat, turning until brown (use tongs to brown the sides!), and serve immediately.
