TPACK: (Technological pedagogical and content knowledge) is a framework that consist on a model of learning based on three important knowledges which are technology, content and pedagogy. The main function is to make this three concepts complement each other in order to promote an effective teaching and implement technology in education.
Technology integration: This concept refers to the implementation of technologies (in this case, in class) in order to develop a more prepared environment when learning and investigating new information for acquiring knowledge. Technology can be used by using computers, smartphones, digital boards, webcams, Internet and so on. The use of technology trains students in this field and develops new skills for expanding knowledge and tools that can complement school learning to help increase the speed when searching for information, create facilities to use new work modalities etc. Technology is something that over time evolves with an impressive level of speed and every time new machines and resources are created and implemented within them to make life easier and more comfortable and the integration of these technologies in the school or in the academic environment, it is increasing, since these allow and contribute in a simple way and from different points of view and authors, a great amount of knowledge.
ACAD: (The activity centered analysis and design framework) is a framework developed in order to analyze and to design a structure of complex environments of learning. It is based on practical things and actions like speaking, moving, feeling, making…ACAD is created by 3 different parts that are stage or set design (based on the materials, tools and place in general) , epistemic design (based on adjusting the tasks) and social design (based on the cooperation, collaboration, division of work...).
Knowledge: Knowledge refers to the skills, information and capabilities acquired, interpreted and developed during life through experience and education.
Information map: This is a method based on creating and designing some information about any concept and writing it in a clear and eye catching way to learn and relate different concepts in order to improve our knowledge about some areas and themes.
QUESTION:
In which way TPACK and ACAD helps people when receiving this type of frameworks and what are some weak points about their implementation?
TPACK and ACAD are really useful in order to create a better educational environment because of the set of all the ideas they promote. The combination between both, refering to the use of technology, the pedagogycal skills, the improvement of the environment when learning, the use of suitable tools and materials, the objectives we are trying to reach and in general, the effective teaching make learners acquire a better knowledge and experiences in order to become a better person.
These frameworkss can be used together in their orientation so that they can complement each other as well as work with them separately to get the most out of each other. Basically the use of these frameworks includes tasks and ways of learning that we use every day in our own experience and nature without sometimes realizing it. Knowing how to combine these elements in an academic environment when it comes to developing a task is essential and will allow each concept and necessary skill to be implemented in a very effective and useful way to develop the student and evolve as a person.
Of course, nothing is perfect and what can be a disadvantage of this methods is the wrong way we can use it because is not easy to make this ideas work together so the bad use of these skills like technology or the bad management of the environment and social characteristics can make learners learn in a wrong way and can affect them in the future.
