Cesar Narros Martinez : This task has taken us out of our comfort zone and in what a way. We have had to use audio platforms that we had never even heard of before. We had to learn how to use them. In addition to the structuring and creation of the podcast, which has taken many hours of previous research to be able to understand a little of how the whole world worked. In addition to all this, the topic we were asked to talk about was a bit complicated, but at the same time very motivating. I belong to that boring education, to those classes where the teacher reads and the student listens, to those classes where the true formation of the students is not sought, where the different intelligences that we human beings possess are neither promoted nor improved. That is why as soon as I heard the subject we had to talk about, I was motivated to carry out this task in the best possible way and try to do my bit to change all this. I hope that in the future there will be an education that seeks the true educational formation of the child and that promotes it by means of all these resources that fortunately we have today, such as programming. Of course it is possible to learn by playing video games, and I am sure that you learn much more than reading a book, and I say this from experience. Nowadays, thanks to videogames like Call Of Duty WWII, topics like the Second World War are of my interest and have made me dedicate my free time to read, listen and learn new things about it.
Jorge Nicolás Martínez: In this task I have performed the facilitator and the curator's role. This is the first time I have done these roles and I would like to share how I have felt during the task. First of all, the facilitator role, which I think that everybody believe that it is the easier role and the less important, my group has always tried to take this role very seriously because if you are a good facilitator your group will be better organized and the task will improve a lot. I have tried to organize the distribution of the work ( the edition of the podcast, who do the advertisment, how we do the strucutre of the podcast...) and also motivate the members of the group so that the result of our work is the best possible. Although I think it is the easier role, it is essential for the group performance in the task. Secondly, I have been the curator, which is also considered as one of the easiest roles, but we have neglected a little bit this role and now I have had to work hard in order to improve it. That's a mistake we have had as a group but we are going to solve it. In my opinion, this is not an easy role because you have to gather all the resources, links, images, videos, books and articles that your whole group has needed and used to do the task. This week has been a little bit more difficult than others because we have had to change and we still have to change a lot things of our blog. However, we are working very hard and we are trying to follow the advice the teacher is giving each week to us in order to improve our blog and make it more complete and elaborated. However,we have many things to improve as a group, although facing this task hasn't been easy because a podcast is something very difficult to do, we could have improved the audio and also the time spent in each part, but I think we have made a really good job.
Leo Díaz Díaz - I've always been very interested in podcasts and I've even thought about doing one but I've never done it. I'm quite a consumer of these audio pieces but I didn't really know how they worked or how to create one. Through this work my group and I have been able to explore many applications with which to create podcasts and where to listen to them. I didn't know that spotify made it so easy to upload a podcast and how simple it really is. You don't need a very high quality equipment to do it nor more expensive but really with this work I can get to better value a communicator. The other big part of this job has been the coding and programming. I discovered the hour of code site and I really had no idea that there were such sites. I sincerely think that in the world in which we live where technologies have such an important weight, learning to code and to know basic things about programming is as essential as physical education or mathematics. With this work and thanks to the role of translator I have learned a new term that I had never heard until now "computational thinking". Although at first glance it may seem that these activities can only develop sequential thinking, it can also help creativity and imagination. Programming a video game also requires a lot of skills apart from mathematics to develop logic and has a strong mathematical component. But I would define it as learning to think like a computer, in a sequential and logical way and thanks to this we will also provide many useful tools for the students and their future. Moreover, I believe that our mission as teachers is to reinvent ourselves day by day and always give a little extra of ourselves to get out of the traditional education and adapt to the changes that society requires and to the new ways of seeing the world.
Finally, I would like to point out this news about computational thinking, which highlights some of the main advantages of computational thinking and summarizes them quite well: https://www.educaciontrespuntocero.com/noticias/pensamiento-computacional-educacion-aulas/
Enrique Nicolás Martínez: In this week's assignment, I carried out the star role. Leaving a little aside the specific work of this role, I have dedicated myself like the rest of my classmates to investigate, test and reflect on the different apps or programming and coding games found on the website provided by our teacher. The task was to test and see how each of the games was developed and then, in addition to answering some additional questions, create a podcast in which we have included a reflection, stories about our experience, an interview with another participant from a different group to learn more about the experience and the point of view of other groups that have also worked like us, etc.
This task has been very interesting, as I said, in the role of star, which is the one I have done this week, I had to be interviewed in the podcast of another group of colleagues. In this interview I have been asked several questions about my opinion and experience about the use of apps and programming games and applications in class and it has been a very entertaining and interesting experience. From this I learned the importance of developing this type of skills more oriented to the development of technology as well as a logical and computational thinking which is very important for the education of people.
María Mansilla Jiménez-Alfaro: In this activity, my role was that of analyst, . Thanks to this task, I have learned by playing the different games on the web, I had never played and at first it was a bit difficult for me but little by little it has become much easier. Then we made a postcad, I had never worked with these and practically did not know of their existence, my colleagues helped me in that aspect and explained to me how we were going to do it. Enrique was the star who recorded the interview with another group and Jorge Martínez from the Puzzle Team came to do the interview with us, where we asked him about the games and we also added stories and experiences in this postcad.I think it has been a very creative activity and has made us learn a lot about different applications and ways of teaching. We have recorded the postcad, we have helped each other with its content, and we have known how to organize ourselves when dividing the parts of each one.
