María Mansilla Jiménez-Alfaro: In my opinion, this work has been a bit confusing for all of us, we didn't know how to capture what the task said in the final work, but we have redone the diagram and we have managed to finish it. We worked as a group and when it came to doing the questionnaires, it's true that we didn't really agree on the answers, but we had so many ideas for the canva and things to add to the work that we weren't very accurate in that part. In any case, we have done the task as best we could, as a team and organising ourselves as well as possible to get it right, helping each other and at the same time observing the work of our colleagues. For the next work we will try to work better and more organised, and above all listening to each other and helping each other so that the result will be great.
Jorge Nicolás Martínez: In this task I have performed the journalist's role. In this task specially, it has been a little bit complex to describe the whole process of the group's work. Although this is not a very difficult role you have to be very attentive and be very constant to later be able to describe how the task has been developed: the involvement of each participant, who has done what, how we have done this, why we have done it this way... With this role you get a lot of information about the group that helps you improve your work day by day. Verifying in writing how each member has been involved in the task, what tools we have used every day, why we have used those and not others and, in general, how we have worked is something very useful and incredibly essential. Learning about PLE has been very useful for me, although we know more less how each member of the group works, we have realised that taking into account how, where, in which device and what our classmates use is something really interesting that can help you to improve because you can take some ideas and you can reflect about your personal learning environment. In addition, we have learned how to do a diagram in a better way, which is important for us as future teachers.
Leo Díaz Díaz: I think this has not been one of our best activities but not because we have not tried hard enough but because we may have approached it badly. This week I was the star of the show and I had to prepare a 6 minute presentation which was a bit complicated. Before this activity I had never realized that although the applications we use are the same, everyone uses them in a different way which can totally change your experience with it. Regarding my PLE I have noticed that I generally feel more comfortable using the computer rather than a phone or tablet because it offers me more possibilities. It is very important as teachers to be aware of the tools we use in class, how to approach them. Normally they are looked at in a superficial way which is a serious mistake since a mechanic always checks if his tools are in good condition. However, it seems that because it is something digital or perhaps the school is not fully adapted, teachers have a poor knowledge of PLE. If the school wants to improve, we must take more into account the work environment that surrounds us in order to offer children a higher quality of education.
César Narros Martínez: Well, as far as the performance of this task is concerned, as I said in the analyst's rubric, this week has not been our week. We have not understood in a certain way what we had to expose and for that reason the presentation has not come out as we would have liked. Even so I think that we have managed to fix those mistakes we made on Wednesday in order to upload it to the blog thanks to the help of the whole group. As for the contents, I think that knowing how to instill in the children the possibility of creating their own ple is of vital importance. We, the teachers of the future must change education as we know it. The learning process admits infinite ways of acquiring information, especially in this new era. Everyone should be free to learn in their own way.
Enrique Nicolás Martínez: I found the approach to this assignment interesting. We are people that nowadays everything is digitized and we are continuously using the internet as well as different websites and a lot of different applications to entertain ourselves, create content, provide information, to carry out projects, learn, help people etc.
With this task we can appreciate the use we make of many of the applications we have available today and we have thought through the questionnaire about how they can be used, whether on the computer, mobile, tablet or wherever, as well as the place, whether in class, in the faculty, at our desk, in the room, in bed etc. All these are factors that affect the use we give to each application because not all people use them at the same time or in the same place or for the same purpose. As the main objective of the task, we had to develop a diagram in which somehow, we had to relate the different uses of the 9 applications or tools that our group has used the most during this course in the subject either to perform other tasks or to create content on a daily basis on our work. We have done a good job and we have organized ourselves quite well, each one made their respective questionnaire about the applications and finally as I said, the diagram, which we have to improve because it was not exactly the type of diagram that the teacher was looking for so we have to change it a little to have it as it should be, which we have already talked about how to do it. In my case this week I have been the translator, this role requires more time than others perhaps because finding 5 good words that can somehow summarize the main objectives of the task and develop them to be perfectly understood is not something that is done in 5min but I quite like it because I see it as a way to go back to dig a little bit into the task and remember what we were learning.
