TASK 10 - Evaluating Learning
TASK 10 - Evaluating Learning
This was the last assignment of the course and it was about evaluating the different roles we had during the course. On Tuesday Linda explained the task and distributed the different roles among the groups. (Facilitator-star, analyst, journalist, translator-curator). We were the facilitator-star and we got down to work. The job is to create a rubric to evaluate these roles. We were asked to use padlet and google spreadshit or excel.
We were asked to represent concisely and clearly the different elements we wanted to evaluate for each one. For facilitator we chose 3: Director and leadership, involvement, mediation and communication. And for the star we selected: originality, expression, content quality and deepening, adaptation. We quickly agreed on what the most important elements were, so we made it easy. We also had previous experience from the rubric activity we did some time ago.
This was the final result of the rubric:
The next day in class we had to make a joint rubric together with ICTeachers. We had to agree to make a joint rubric with what they had and what we had done. It was quite simple because we agreed on many concepts. We also had a great time working with them because they were very professional and friendly. We came to the conclusion that it was easier to gather it into three scores instead of four, as it would be more direct and simpler to evaluate it.
I would like to make a small evaluation of the ICTeachers blog since we have been working with them this week. This way, we can see what things they have that can serve as inspiration for us to improve our blog.
Here is the link to ICTeacher´s blog: https://blogict2122.blogspot.com/
At first glance, it seems to me that the organization of the blog is quite different from ours, so I think it may be a bit confusing. The aesthetic part I think is what stands out the least of your blog but nevertheless the role of the curator seems perfect to me. They have made a tree reflecting the different sources they have used to do the work and they have called it "ICTree". I think it is an original idea and we could learn something from it. Another section that I think could be improved is that of the analyst because I think that some reflections should be from a socio-critical point of view. In this aspect we also have to improve some reflections so that they are not so superficial.
To use resources as teachers I have found a very interesting blog with a lot of material called "EP Resources". https://www.recursosep.com/
The interface is very intuitive and easy to use. It has been recommended to me by a family member who is a teacher because you can access many materials with just one click. One negative point I find is the amount of ads it has. But I understand that if they are free resources they have to finance the blog in some way.
But undoubtedly the blog that has caught my attention and from which I have been able to extract some ideas for other works is "tiching" http://es.tiching.com/.
It has all kinds of resources and the organization is very clear. Resources are free and accessible to everyone From resources for elementary school, high school and high school. It is all organized by categories and other subcategories. Without a doubt it is a 5 out of 5
To conclude, I would like to make a small reflection on the usefulness of this activity and what it has done for us. Working in a team and having to be able to synthesize an evaluation method has significantly improved our skills as future teachers. I feel that the activities of this course have been very beneficial for us and that if we compare from the first activity until today we have noticed a great improvement as a group.

How difficult it was to frame us all because there are so many of us!
