All our efforts are tied to
bringing everyone (across the globe) closer to the LORD
develop generations of missionary leaders as we all are called to be
fight together in our spiritual battles against the evil one
journey together to our heavenly home
as one Mystical Body of Jesus, which is the Church.
And you Philippians yourselves know that in the beginning of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church entered into partnership with me in giving and receiving except you only; for even in Thessalonica you sent me help once and again. Not that I seek the gift;
but I seek the fruit which increases to your credit.
Philippians 4:15-17
It is a manifestation that you embrace the Catholic teachings and CFC culture of giving (to the community) what belongs to God and keeping (for the family) what still belongs to God.
It is to support the CFC mission of evangelization.
It is to support our parish for its needs.
It is being a good steward of God's creation and blessings.
It means that you trust God, who provides and will continue to provide everything you need.
It shows that you love our brothers and sisters -- especially those in need (financially and spiritually).
It shows that you are not attached to material things.
Here are some verses from the Holy Scripture.
With our tithes, we can support our events especially formation retreats of CFC and our family ministries.
A lower registration fee helps encourage more participation.
More participation helps develop the spiritual maturity of individuals, couples, and our entire community.
More participation helps develop more leaders. We need more servant leaders as our community grows in faith and numbers.
More participation results to more brethren knowing each other and serving one another. This results to building better relationships, which strengthens our community, which strengthens our Church.
Better spiritual growth can result to better parents. This results to stronger families, which results to a stronger Church.
There are more positive domino effects.
Let's start tithing and continue to give more for the building of the community and our Church, where you and your family belong.
I have received full payment, and more; I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent, a fragrant offering, a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God.
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever.
Philippians 4:18-20
He wants you to experience the abundant goodness of our Lord.
He is helping you to increase and strengthen your faith and trust in our Lord as our Heavenly Provider.
He is helping you to be a good example for your family and parish in building generations of missionary leaders.
He is helping you to be a responsible steward of God's blessings.
He is helping you to be more aware of our unity as the Mystical Body of Jesus Christ (that is, the Catholic Church) beyond the CFC community.
He is helping you to be less attached or unattached to material things. Our attachment to material things negatively affect our loving relationship with God (in relation to the 1st Commandment).
He is helping you so that the Holy Spirit can work through you and your family in the work of evangelization.
