The KFC Global Day of Service (GDS)

• Typically scheduled every last Saturday of September.

• Done by all KFC ministries around the world.

• This is organized by the Chapter KFC Couple Coordinator (CC) with the help of ROCK leaders (from CFC-Youth/YFC).

• The activity focuses on serving the community.

• Here are some examples

  • Cleaning the church.

  • Soliciting and bringing donations for the poor -- e.g., food, clothing.

  • Soliciting and bringing donations for specific groups -- e.g., homeless, single mothers.

    • Covenant House in Vancouver

    • Birthright - Vancouver

    • Richmond Food Bank

  • Entertaining seniors in a seniors' home.
