What is Honoring?
Honoring is appreciating the good deeds of each person, whether big or small, to affirm them of their being a blessing to the family. It is done vocally, for the person being honored to know that they are being appreciated for the good deeds or sacrifices they have done for their family.
Objectives
To spend quality time with our respective families as members as members and leaders of CFC.
To nourish, strengthen, and deepen our family relationships in a very special way through honoring each other.
To ask for the empowerment of the Holy Spirit in our families, as we are inspired by the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph.
Preparations
This activity should be led by the CFC parent, or whoever is a member of the Family Ministries of CFC.
The whole family should be encouraged to help in planning their CFC Family Honoring Night.
Identify details (schedule of Holy Mass to participate prior to family dinner, where to have the dinner, where to have the dinner, what kind of meal to prepare, or other creative ideas the family wants to add).
The meal does not have to be expensive and the venue can just be at their home or wherever the family can have a conducive venue of communing with each other.
It is not exclusive for the immediate family. Extended family members are welcome to join especially if they are living in the same house.
Dynamics
Make sure the whole family has attended Holy Mass together.
Proceed with the Family Dinner with an Opening Prayer (to be led by anyone --father son, or whoever can lead the opening prayer)
Begin the Honoring of each family member.
This can be done during or after dinner.
The parents or whoever is a member of CFC Family Ministries should explain first the importance of honoring one another.
During the actual honoring, the parents and children will honor each member of the family.

After the honoring, the father or whoever is a member of CFC Family Ministries, leads the Prayer for the Family, as closing of this family gathering.
Prayer for the Family -- to thank God for the gift of family, even if no family is perfect, families are gift from the Lord; to thank God for all the blessings received; pray for healing and forgiveness; pray for providence and protection; pray for strength and guidance in all the challenges and struggles; pray for Mother Mary's intercession and the Holy Spirit's inspiration and empowerment for the family's life and mission.
It is encouraged that each CFC Family Honoring Night be documented and shared through social media to honor God's gift of family, and be our own way of witnessing and proclaiming to the world God's gift of family through CFC and its Family Ministries.
