Typically, a household is composed of 3-7 couples (including the household leaders). Household members regularly meet following a schedule agreed upon by the chapter household.
In this document, the word leader pertains to household leaders, unit leaders, chapter leaders, and so on.
Every household is always led by a brother -- for example: household head, unit head, chapter head, and so on. His wife is called a household leader, unit leader, chapter leader, or the like depending where in the CFC organization the couple serves. The couple is called household leaders.
Every so often, the chapter makes changes in their organization structure. Click here for information about the Chapter Organization.
Every member belongs to a household. Every leader belongs to two households -- an upper household and a lower household.
Upper household - where the leader receives pastoral guidance / formation. For example, a household leader belongs to a unit household, which is led by a unit head.
Lower household - where the head gives pastoral guidance / formation to household members. For example
A household head leads some couples belonging to his household.
A unit head leads household leaders belonging to his unit. The unit household may include chapter couple coordinators (CCs).
A household meeting may be replaced by a bigger event:
Chapter event
Cluster event
Area / Sector event -- e.g., ANCOP Walk, area/sector teaching
Regional or national event -- e.g., CFC Conference
This is announced by the Chapter Head in coordination with the Cluster Head and/or Area/Sector Head.
This is to encourage everyone to attend the bigger events. This is where we meet other members of the bigger community and to have a fuller experience of community life.
So then, while we have the opportunity, let us do good to all,
but especially to those who belong to the family of the faith.
Galatians 6:10
