In a CFC chapter gatherings and household meetings, we pray using this guide after the we sing the worship songs.
Adoration
Everyone starts praising God.
Then the household sings songs of praise/worship -- 2 fast songs and 1 slow song.
Contrition -- The worship leader
Encourages the household to reflect on their sins.
This is to prepare and move everyone to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
There is no need to pray "Lord, have mercy on our sins" or "Lord, forgive us". In CFC, we have been advised not to say these.
Do not say the sins out loud. If anyone feels compelled to share, he/she can share during the household meeting discussions. The other members may pray for the member(s).
Recognizes and thanks God for His boundless love and mercy. (This transitions to Thanksgiving.)
Thanksgiving
The worship leader starts thanksgiving prayer, followed by his wife.
Every couple takes turns in giving thanks. For every couple, the brother first, then the sister.
If there is anyone absent, the head, spouse, or anyone may thank the Lord on his/her behalf.
When all couples are done, the worship leader may say a final thanksgiving prayer, then transitions to Supplication.
Supplication
The worship leader starts supplication prayer, followed by his wife.
Every couple takes turns in praying for supplication. For every couple, the brother first, then the sister.
If there is anyone absent, the head, spouse, or anyone may lift up any prayer request the Lord on his/her behalf.
When all couples are done, the worship leader may say a final supplication prayer.
