Our tithes go to CFC mission and other works of evangelization. Here are some examples:
CFC administrative expenses including CFC Mission Center operations, audio-visual equipment used for cluster and area events
Expenses of CFC ministries -- for example
Chapter assemblies, CLPs, some formation events
Some events of Family Ministries and Social Ministries
Support and fund our CFC Full-Time Pastoral Workers (FTPW) (our Catholic Lay Missionaries)
Tithes do not go to the chapter.Â
All chapter expenses are funded by the chapter. Here are some sample chapter expenses -- plates, forks, spoons, music ministry equipment, projector, and so on.
Catholic Precept #5:
"You shall help to provide for the needs of the Church."
Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2043
...a tithe that is offered in gratitude to God for the many gifts He bestows upon us and for the well-being and nourishment of the priests in our midst, and for the ability of the Church to continue to function in its work of evangelization and service of the people of God in our local parishes, and in our diocese, and throughout the world.
Fr William Nicholas
CFC is one with the Catholic Church in the work of evangelization by sending missionaries, helping in the spiritual formation of people where our community and full-time pastoral workers (FTPW) can reach, and more.
Tell the rich in the present age not to be proud and not to rely on so uncertain a thing as wealth but rather on God, who richly provides us with all things for our enjoyment.
Tell them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous, ready to share,
thus accumulating as treasure a good foundation for the future, so as to win the life that is true life.
1 Timothy 6:17-19
