Google Forms can be created from within Google Drive. They are right in the drop down menu along with Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Sites. Or, you can go to the Forms Homepage.
Forms are easy to create and offer a variety of uses in the school setting:
Teachers can use them to survey students, generate assignments, construct lessons, and more.
Students can create their own Forms as they create projects or collaborate in peer-to-peer assignments.
And, both teachers and administrators can use them for meetings, district-wide departments, intra-district collaboration, communication with parents, and more. No need to wait until the committee or department convenes.
Google Forms have features which make collaboration and sharing of information easier:
Post or email the Form, and as members fill them out, results are posted immediately.
Editing can be done from any computer, any time. Just log into your Google account.
You can share documents with those you choose or make them public.
They can be embedded on WEB pages, blogs, and emails.
They can be published online for anyone to access.
Forms are easy to create and use.

You can do the following:
create the following types of questions/responses:
short answer • multiple choice grid
paragraph • check box grid
multiple choice • choose from list
check box • scale
drop down • grid
re-order questions with drag and drop feature
use the find/replace command
share with others, as viewers or collaborators
allow recipients to view in the body of emails
allow recipients to see the Form online, in a browser window
view the results in spreadsheet format
embed the form in a blog or website
add a Form gadget to your iGoogle page to track responses
chat about a spreadsheet in real time
set notification rules
see response summaries

2. Note that the examples below are EMBEDDED on a webpage.
3. These Forms are used during training classes. Sometimes attendees do not type complete answers to save time. Some answers may appear as jibberish.
4. Click "SUBMIT" when done and see what happens
5. Your answers go immediately to the spreadsheet (FORM).
6. Click on the links above (in the "Sample Spreadsheet Results") to view results, with "your" answers included in the resulting spreadsheet.
7. Click on the links above (in the "Sample Summary Chart Results") to see colored charts Google generates for you.
