Images For Google Earth Tours
What's important to know?
You need to get images that are published on the WEB
These can be published on sites, webpages, blogs, etc. Or, they can be your own images that you have uploaded.
Once uploaded to the WEB, each image will have a WEB address (URL)
Copy the image address (URL) to import that image into Google Earth placemarkers
How To Use This Page:
Right click on any of the practice images in the section below. They have all been published on the WEB and have a URL address.
Choose, "Copy Image Link" or "Copy Link"
When creating a placemarker in Google Earth, click the camera icon, in the left sidebar of the placemarker
The window on the right will open. Google Earth is asking where the image is located. Click on the word "URL"
Paste the URL you just copied, from one of the images below, into the window
The image will be inserted into that placemarker in Google Earth
It will look similar to the image on the right
You can add additional images if you wish
You can delete any image by clicking on the trash can in the upper right

Use The Images Below For Practice
See step-by-step directions above.
You will be copying the web address of the image you choose. Since it's already on the WEB, the URL is "live" and will
import into your Google Earth tour. You could download the image to your device, but then you would have to upload it yourself and "publish" it so it
has a URL to use.
