Create a site
These directions are for a computer, Chromebook, or notepad.
Sign-in to your Google account
On your computer, go to sites.google.com to open a new Google Site.
At the top, click the + sign
This will create a new, untitled Site
You can design your site entirely on your own, or choose one of the templates from the Template Gallery at the right, top

Type text, import images, add links, calendars, maps, Forms, and more.
You can also embed calendars, maps, Forms, Docs, and more.
In addition, you can use the embed icon to embed additional things using https or iframes.
When done, you can publish your site.
To publish your site, click "Publish" at the top, right corner.
Use the drop down arrow to view your published site.
Go back to the edit mode to make any changes. To publish your changes, at the top right, click "Publish" again.
Note: You can also use an iPad or iPhone by requesting to use the desktop version on the device. See instructions here.
Adding Content:
Add, delete & organize pages
You can add or delete pages, insert a table of contents, edit headers and footers, and update site info settings in Google Sites.
Adding a page to a current site.
On a computer, open a site you've created in Google Sites.
On the right sidebar, click Pages (at the top of the column).
At the bottom of the Pages column, Point to the + sign. Just hover over the +sign until you see a pop-up menu of choices (see Image 1 on the right)
Click "New page" from the pop-up menu. (see Image 1 on the right)
Enter the page name.
Click Done.
Add content to the new page. To publish your changes, at the top right, click Publish (blue icon).
Use the drop down arrow to view your published site.
Add text, headings, or titles to your site
On a computer, open a site you've created in Google Sites.
On the right, click "Insert" (at the top of the right sidebar column). This opens other choices for you.
Click the "Insert Text box" icon at the top. (see Image 2 on the right)
In the menu that opens, choose the text, heading, or title style you want. (see Image 3 below)
Choices are: normal, title, heading, sub-heading, or small texAdd your text to the box.
To publish your changes, at the top right, click Publish.
Change How Text Looks
On your Sites page, click the text you want to change.
In the menu that opens, click the text styles you want to add (bold, italics, underline, bullets, numbers, etc.)
Use the 3 dots at the far right of the text menu to show more choices.
To publish your changes, at the top right, click Publish.

Format Text
You can change how text looks - underline, change colors, make bold, add numbered or bulleted lists, insert links, and more
At the top right, click the Pages column. Then, choose the page you want to edit.
Highlight the text, or click where you want to edit, insert a list, add a link, etc.
In the menu that opens, choose how you want to format the text. (Image 3)
To publish changes, at the top right, click "Publish."
Preview The Site To See How It Looks
Preview the site to see how content and formatting look
Also, preview the site to see how it will look on different devices - phones, computers, mobile devices, etc. Google Sites pages will resize to accommodate the size of the device screen.
Use the icons at the bottom, right of the sites page when you click on "Preview"
