Find What's Changed On A Site
As an editor or owner of a site, you can see a version history and determine what has changed. This is helpful when working with co-editors. This feature is for the "new" Google Sites, not the "classic" version.
Find An Earlier Version:
Use Version History:
Open a site in edit mode
In the top, right, click the 3 dots, and choose, "Version History"
A window opens with a right sidebar listing dates and versions you can view
You will also see the most recent versions listed by "Today" or "Yesterday" or by date
You can also see when a particular version was published
Restore An Earlier Version
While viewing the Version History in the right sidebar, click on an earlier version to revert to that one (or simply view what it looked like before your latest version)
Click, "Restore This Site Version" > "Restore"
You can go back to the current version by clicking the "Back" arrow in the top, left of the page in Edit Mode.
Restore A Single Page On A Site
Single pages can be restored. There is no need to restore the entire site.
Open Version HIstory in the right sidebar (use the 3 dots)
Click on the earlier version you want
Then, at the top, left, click "Restore This Page Version" > "Restore Pate"

Note: You Can Also Find When A Website or Webpage Was Last Updated Or Worked On
This will work on any page of a website, including the homepage
In the lower left, look for an "I" icon
Click on the icon, and you will see when the page was last updated
Each page has its own "I" icon. If the site owner updates a subpage, it is not reflected on the homepage of the site. Each page has its own time stamp for when it was worked on.
Click the "I" Icon in the lower left of a page
Update
This bar will open with the last updated date.
If the update was within the past week, it will tell you the number of days, instead of a date
