Publish And Share A Site
Step 1: Preview your site
You can preview how your site will look without actually publishing it. In this mode, you can see how your site will be displayed in a browser without having to actually publish it. This also allows you to stay in "Edit Mode" as you work.
At the top, click the "Preview Icon." It's in the toolbar and looks like a small computer screen.
You will see the design of the page you are working on.
If you would like to see how your page will look on different devices, use the icons on the bottom, right when you are in "Preview Mode." They appear in a black background.
At the bottom right, choose one of the options - large screen, tablet, or phone.
To exit, at the bottom right, click Exit (X) .

Step 2: Publish your site
At the top, click Publish.
Enter test to complete the web address for your site.
Click Publish.
After you click publish, use the drop down menu to view how your published site looks to make sure it’s published correctly.
Choose who can see your site
At the top, click Share .
Next to "Published," click Change. Then choose an option:
Anyone on the web
Specific people
To share with specific people, enter the name or email address of the person or persons you want to add
Then, click Can "edit" or "can view published"
Then, click Send.
You can send an email notification to people you share your site with. Click "Notify people."
Click Save or Done.
Note: If you use Google Sites with a school or organization, you may find other options.
It depends on what the domain administrator has chosen for your organization.
Opt your site out of search engines
Important: This is a request and doesn’t guarantee that your site won’t show up in public search engines.
This option is only available if your site is set to "Public on the web," and can be viewed by anyone.
At the top, next to "Publish," click the Down arrow .
Click Publish settings.
Click "Request public search engines to not display my site."
Click Save.
Share the site with one of your other accounts
There may be times you create a site in your school account. But, you also want to access it from another account at home.
If you’re not the owner of the site, have the owner share it with you.
If you're the owner of the site, follow these steps:
At the top, click Share.
Under "Invite people," add your work, school, or other group email address.
Next to your email address, choose "Is owner."
Click Send.
Invite others to see your site (Classic Version)
You can share your site with specific people or Google Groups.
On a computer, open a site in "classic" Google Sites.
At the top right, click Share.
Under "Invite people," enter the name or email address of a person or Google Group.
Click Send.
Optional: To remove a person or group, next to their name and click Delete .
