Husky Testimonials
October 1, 2023
It's been a long time since I have posted any testimonials. Not because I haven't received it, but only because I haven't taken the time. Today I received a very nice email with photos of Zelda, a husky who went to her new home in 2014. Since that time Zelda has traveled extensively from Iowa, California, Missouri and now in North Carolina as she follows her military family. They say Zelda is "the best dog ever and we love her so much. She is so smart." She is also very beautiful!

I thought you would like to see a comparison between a puppy baby picture as posted on our website and the same puppy as an adult. This is Kodiak as a baby, probably about 4 weeks old, and as a 2 year old. His owner says lovingly "He's ornery as can be and too smart for his own good!"

Here's another pair of pictures I received showing one of our huskies, Leon, as a baby and then as an adult. It's just so hard to envision what one of those little ones will grow up to be. Leon's owner says "He is my best friend and the light of my life! Leon grew to be very intelligent. I swear he understands more English than the average dog. He loves long walks, laying outside, and eating oranges." Sounds like Leon is going to be getting a playmate sometime in the future.

Here are Hunter (on the left) and Willow (on the right). Hunter is the younger of the two, not quite a year old yet. He's a big boy. Vickie says "They are both strikingly beautiful and we get comments all the time about how well behaved and good looking they are. We are so blessed to have them especially in these challenging times."

Here is Kaiya and Maiya at age 2. You will see the same two in my January 15,2015 post. "Kaiya and Maiya turned two years old today. These two sisters have enjoyed growing up together and get to see each other a lot!
Thank you so much for breeding these amazing animals, they make our family so happy!" Oh my, those eyes!

Isn't this the prettiest red and white husky you have ever seen? This is Kita and she was born on June 9, 2014. Her owner writes, " She is amazing so loving to everyone she meets and gives the best hugs and kisses. Her temperament is exceptional and I cannot wait to get her a little brother or sister from you guys come graduation in about 2-3 years or so :) kita trained very well and is even learning how to speak and say things like I love you. At times she takes advantage of her voice and likes to get sassy but it's funny. She brings joy to everyone in the family but above all she is my best friend. Thank you again :)"

It is so rewarding to see how our puppies look when grown. Yesterday, we received this picture of Cyclone on the North Shore. Cyclone is now seven years old. Beautiful husky, beautiful setting. I showed the picture to my husband who does most of the work with our huskies and he guessed by looking at the photo that Cyclone's mother was Passuk. I checked my records and even after 7 years, he was right. Didn't surprise me though. He knows his huskies.

Scroll on down to the post I made on January 15, 2015 in which I told about a litter from Rita and Jack born in March of 2014. At that time, there was only one of the six puppies in the litter that we had not heard from. And now we have a picture of the final sibling. Here are two pictures of beautiful Bailey at her birthday party. All of the puppies turned one on March 2, 2015. "We are so thankful to have Bailey in our life. She is such an amazing dog. We can't wait to come get a sibling for her in the future. Thank you for being so helpful and kind, and giving us our little fur child,"

And this is Wolf who just happens to be a littermate or Patch and Kita pictured below. When Wolf's owner first came to inquire about getting a puppy, I found him to be the most knowledgeable person regarding Siberian Huskies that I have ever met. I learned a lot from him. He and Wolf have come to visit us. "He has such an adorable personality, and is the nicest dog you'll ever meet." Interesting, black/white, red/white, and white from the same litter.

These two blue-eyed beauties, Patch and Kita, are brother and sister and live in the same household. Patch is on the left and Kita is on the right. Their eyes are just amazing! The message we received from their owners said:
"I just wanted to Thank you times a million!! They are truly the best dogs on the face of the earth. Their personalities are so unique and they fit along with us perfectly. It's like these dogs were made for us."

It is not unusual to receive emails and photos of our puppies that are now adults. It is always the highlight of any day when those emails arrive. It IS unusual to receive nearly back to back emails from different parties with pictures of their adult huskies which were from the same litter. This particular litter was born back in March of 2014 out of Rita and Jack and was a litter of six puppies. We kept one of the females for ourselves and named her Ailey Z. Another of the females lives in Colorado and we hear from her family quite often. So with the pictures just received, that accounts for two more sister siblings and a brother. So we have been in contact with five of the six puppies. Now that is neat! So here are the recent pictures with comments:
From the Browns' : "We got these two from you guys. Aashka is almost 3 and waylon is almost 1. We have never seen dogs with such a great personality." The black and white husky (Waylon) is from Rita's litter. The white one is also from Ashland Farm but from 3 years ago.
Then below are Kaiya and Maiya who are sisters to Waylon above. They do not live in the same household but their families are close relatives who live near each other.
From Katie J.:
"They are 10 months now and are such wonderful puppies.
I have referred many people to you who are interested in Husky pups because we are so happy with ours.
Thank you so much for breeding these amazing dogs."
May 20, 2013 Zac sent this wonderful testimony about his beautiful husky Turok:
"Turok is the best behaved and most well mannered dog I've ever had. We can be outside all day and won't chase animals or bark at anything. Thanks again for the great dog. I also wanted to thank you two for how organized and upfront you were with paperwork and everything else and for holding him for as long as you did. We definitely will be back for another when we get a bit more space." Zac G.
May 3, 2013 Today I received the following testimony about their Ashland Farm husky named Kato:
" I found Ashland farms in February of 2011, my boyfriend and I did our research about Huskies and got our first dog together. Kato has turned out to be the best addition to our lives. He has such a cute personality, obeys commands very well, and has no health related issues. We have recommended Ashland Farms to other Husky owners we have met, our neighbor decided to get a puppy from them and she has been more than happy! We are buying a home this summer and are definitely coming back to Ashland Farms for a brother or sister for Kato. Thank You!" - Alayna R. and David H."
And thank you Alayna and David. We hope to see you again this summer and bring Kato along!
May 2, 2013. I received this photo (below) from Ashley yesterday along with pictures of her husky Miya. "Here's a picture of Miya. She is doing very good with Phoenix and she's a big fat fluffy marshmallow :) . As of right now she's 19 pounds and energetic and always barking Lol but she's an awesome dog. Thanks again so much allowing me and josh to come visit her and you and for letting us get her." The pleasure was all ours, Ashley and Josh. Thanks for taking such wonderful care of Miya.
Here is Sammi. (Below) We love receiving emails and photos of our puppies all grown up. Sammi's owner says " She is doing very well and I just wanted to update you. She has been to the vet a few times for check ups and has been just fine :)
I even got one of my senior portraits with her!
I am so thankful I ended up finding you guys.. she is such an important part of my life!"
(Above) Bentley is the first addition to our new Husky Testimonial page. His new owners had a bad experience with a breeder in another state. " I found Ashland Farms in the Rochester Paper. I wish we would have found Ashland Farms first. We would adopt from them again and again. We met the parents of our puppy and saw the facility and they were very kind. We cannot thank Doug and Karen enough, you guys are the best!!!" Michael and Alicia
(Above) Here's a photo of Charles Xavier. Charlie is 9 months old in this photo which
we received at Christmas along with the following very nice testimonial:
"I found Ashland Farm through the Star Tribune website, along with a couple other husky breeders whom I visited. Out of all of them, Karen had the happiest, healthiest animals, and genuinely cared about their well-being (compared to others, who were only concerned with selling their pups, nothing more). I spent a lot of time on the phone with Karen just talking, and she freely gave me fantastic advice that continues to help me care for my best friend, Charlie. I've never had a better experience in buying a dog, so I again give my thanks to Ashland Farm!" -Travis H.
