It rained buckets last night. In fact, it's been raining every day it seems for the past week. Everything is lush and green. Fortunately Doug was able to cultivate the pumpkin field before all this started but we haven't been able to get in to do the hand weeding yet and it doesn't look like it will be possible this week anymore. So I'm spending my time getting caught up on bookwork and recordkeeping. Not my idea of fun but it needs to be done.
Yesterday I wormed Flo's puppies for the second time. They are really doing good now. Sunday the 6th we made a quit trip to Shakopee as I saw an ad online for AKC husky puppies and there was one female available. She's sable and white and we named her Myia. She's a little small but with a little TLC it won't be long before she will be able to run with the big dogs. The chickens are growing like crazy. I have the processing dates booked in already. The first date is July 5th.....it's really just around the corner. A lot of projects are on hold till the weather clears but there is still plenty of jobs to be done. Today I must get the honey equipment room cleaned up.
