It's the day after the day after Christmas. Had a wonderful family Christmas but am enjoying the calmness after the rush. The best present we received was a new baby brother for Bug. He arrived on December 7 and is beautiful and healthy. What a joy and a blessing! It's been quite a snowy winter so far and it is still December. The snow is deep so I have to keep a vigilant eye on the hives to make sure the openings aren't encrusted with ice and snow. I think I'll forego that after-Christmas gym membership as shoveling the snow out of the kennel every other day might be all the exercise I need and it's free. But my, the frosty trees were just gorgeous today. Nature's work of art.

Now is the time to work on our seed orders. There is a 6% discount if I get it submitted before the first of January. We have one of DD's puppies still available. He's white and such a lover. I can tell Doug has spent a lot of time with this litter while I am at work at night. They are so affectionate. The litter of basset puppies that was born on 11-26-10 are growing like crazy. We gave them their bordetella innoculations yesterday. Last night I updated the website with all their individual pictures. I expect the USDA inspector any time so am working to make sure all my paperwork is in order. After that, on to tax preparation.
