It's going to be a hot one today as was yesterday. Temps should be reach high 90's with high humidity. We need to pay extra attention to our animals on days like today to keep them as comfortable as possible. Yesterday the AKC inspector came to visit. All was in order outside and in. We also got the pumpkin field weeded on Monday and Tuesday so that's all good for awhile. DeeDee the husky moved out of the barn and away from her puppies. She was getting quite impatient with them so it was time for her to go and enjoy a well-deserved rest. Suzie is doing great with her 8 husky puppies. Saturday would be a good day for some picture taking and posting. The garden is weed-free as well as the flower beds. I guess things are pretty much under control. Next week the first half of the chickens go in for processing. I sure hope it is cooler. We have a new USDA plant only 6 miles from us as opposed to the 60 miles one-way we have been driving for so many years. That surely should make my life easier. However, it's kind of like leaving behind old friends. Chores need to be done so best be on my way.
