Two more inches of rain Saturday night. Fortunately, with excellent help we got the pumpkin field weeded on Thursday before the weekend rain. Doug got the fungicide applied on Friday night so we really are in good shape despite the weather. Sunday we gave Flo's puppies their 5-way puppy shot and today I wormed them again for the last time. They are such a nice litter of puppies and are ready now to go to their new homes Some have been spoken for but need to place an ad or two for the remainder. Bug loves playing with them. They chase round and round.
I've been emailing and calling the chicken customers to schedule their delivery times. Next week the first half will go to the processor so I have to have the delivery plans mapped out beforehand. It will be a hectic week.
By the end of this week, the zucchini should be in full production. Should be a bumper crop with all the rain. I'm lining up the weeding crew for Thursday to go thru the pumpkin field for the final hand weeding. Will be nice to have that done for the year. The vines are starting to run and soon will have the rows closed.
Hannah, the basset, is due with puppies on the Fourth of July. I'm guessing she will have 5 puppies and Doug's guess is 6. As for Hannah, she's not saying but just wants plenty of extra nutrition.
My home garden is a mess. I just can't get ahead of the weeds with this constant rain. Maybe if I aim for a row a day, I'll get it conquered.
