IF it ever gets here. Really, I have had absolutely enough of winter. Sick, sick, sick of it. Hopefully yesterday was the last time to shovel snow out of the kennels till next winter. Last time I wrote, Alice's and Ada's puppies were just newborns and now they are almost ready to leave for their new homes. We are confident that Zorra the husky and Frances the basset are both pregnant and due in mid April. As soon as spring does arrive it will become crazy busy around here. Fruit trees need to be trimmed, yard cleaned up, bee equipment repaired, and all in a short time before planting season. I am worried about my bees. When I checked the hives in mid-February, 8 out of the 10 hives were alive. Awesome, and with warmer weather arriving soon they should be out flying in short order. Only that warmer weather hasn't come, so now I'm getting concerned. I did get my customer letters mailed out yesterday for the dressed chickens we sell in the summer. Those orders should be coming in shortly. This long winter has given me time to clean out files and get organized. That's a good thing. Wishing you all a Happy and Holy Easter!
