It's a chilly drizzly day. Very October-like. We certainly can use the moisture. It's a good day for an afternoon nap. The pumpkin and squash harvest has long been done and the extremely hectic weeks of delivering to the stores is over. We survived another year. Now just a load or two more of pumpkins to the grocery stores and after that squash deliveries until Thanksgiving. That's a much slower pace though. We had one of the best, if not the best, pumpkin and squash crop ever. It totally took us by surprise as we did not expect much due to the drought we are experiencing here. We have also been very busy with lots of husky puppies during this time also. We are now just getting the last litter of huskies into their new homes. Seems pretty quiet around here considering how busy it has been. Then we have a litter of basset puppies too that are almost 3 weeks old. After those two litters leave, we do not expect anymore puppies till late winter. Time for everyone here to take a break.
