How do BYO Upgrades work?
Wing and horn upgrades are a unique type of upgrade: build-your-own upgrade. That way, we can have as much freedom as we can without having a hundred wing upgrades that are basically the same. Members are free to come up with their own interpretation of how the wings or horns would look (don't hesitate to use #need-help for any legality checks).
BYO upgrades are now split into 4 categories: Size, Placement, Style and Extra. The first three categories work in tandem to create the upgrade you'd like to have! Extras are... well... extras and work like regular upgrades.
To build your upgrade, you'll need a Placement, a Size and a Style. Each category will cover a specific upgrade requirement:
Placements have the age requirement
Sizes have the aki requirement
Styles have the art requirement
Once you combine all three, you'll have an upgrade with all standard upgrade requirements. Here is an example on how to make Small Feathered Back Wings:

Rules
-Must have at least 2 visible layers of feathers
-Starts as a solid colour (base/secondary/accent)
-Keling+ without clover use
Once you have built your upgrade, you'll need to write the full name in the upgrade application description. Using the example above, Small Feathered Back Wings would have the following requirements: 35 akis, 2 weeks and no art requirement.
Using Clovers to apply BYO upgrades
You can only clover on 1 full BYO upgrade (example: Small Feathered Back Wings) per clover. Clover requirements are only listed on styles. For the upgrade's size, you can only use sizes that the kel can currently obtain (example: no Large Horns for kelings or teens).
Breeding Inheritance
Due to the unique nature of BYO upgrades, only styles will have a chance to pass down on eggs. As such, the egg owner will be free to pick up to two (2) placements when designing the egg, and will only have access to the Small size as it is the only size available for kelings.
Character Trackers
The character trackers are made for breeding purposes, and as such, only styles are capable of being added to your character trackers. You can, if you wish to, edit the "Upgrade Information" section to add in the aki and age requirement for upgrades with "???" in those sections.
