Transfer Guide

Have a cool character from another evolving species ARPG that you want to transfer over? Well, this is the guide just for you!

Every member starts off with two unbound Lumi Portals! This item is what allows you to transfer characters over to Akeli-Lands! Starting off unbound, they need to be activated in the server’s #item-use channel in the Marketplace category! Using this item will add a transfer slot to your name on the member masterlist.

Once you have a transfer slot available, you can head to the #transfer-maker channel in the approvals category to start the transfer process! Here is some information about the process:​

Once you have made your comment, a moderator will start a thread to discuss the transfer process with you. If you ever want another moderator’s opinion or you want to back down from transferring the character, just mention it! You may back down from the transfer process at any time before you get the template.

Any characters that belonged to you and were official (i.e approved) in the original group can be transferred, even if the character is no longer in the group (i.e dead, donated, etc.). As long as the last owner was you, it will be alright.

The character transferred will be reborn as a keling only, even if they were an adult in the previous group. This is for age tracking purely, as we will use the transfer template as their date of birth/hatch date.​

You will be allowed to choose their base gem shape along with their gem colour, as well as change their name, gender, personality, etc. Anything design-wise (such as colours and upgrades) will remain the same.

For upgrade transfers, upgrades eligible for transfers are any upgrades that have been seen within the group, even if they are not available for members yet. This can be an upgrade seen on NPCs (think Maribella’s tail or Raphaella’s mane), upgrades seen on designs found in the basic spells guide or upgrades seen on any kind of character adoptable. However, there are some exceptions for premium (event, YCH, Patreon, etc.) upgrades.​

For the sake of simplicity, Premium Upgrades will be abbreviated to ‘PU’ and Regular Upgrades will be abbreviated to ‘RU’

If another group’s PU is similar to one of our RU or PU, it is eligible for transfer.

If another group’s RU is similar to one of our PU, it is not eligible for transfer. This is to avoid abuse of the transfer system in order to get Akeli-Lands premium upgrades.​

TL;DR: The 'rarity' of the upgrade must be equal or lower in order to transfer and the upgrade has to be seen in the group in order to qualify.

For any adult-only upgrades being transferred, they will revert back to their 'baby' form. (Think Large Back Wings into Small Back Wings). This can all be discussed in the thread and no decision will be made without you knowing about it.​

For species-specific attributes (for example, the species you are transferring from has wings as the base design), you get to choose whether you want the transfer to have the corresponding upgrade! This must be discussed with a moderator.

As of now, there is no way to transfer magic knowledge/abilities, due to the high amount of differing magic mechanics from group to group. This may or may not change in the future.

Once the transfer process gets finished, you will receive a custom template, along with a pre-filled approval description for your character! Your template will look a little something like this! With it, you can draw their new keling design in the bigger square!

Once you got your template all filled up and uploaded to DeviantArt, you can submit it to the #special-approval channel on discord to get it approved!
