Life for a kel starts simple: in an egg!
Designing eggs is not required but, if you want to depicting your baby hatching, there are some loose rules to follow!
Well, like all kels, eggs have a base colour! This should be the exact same as the kel's base colour. The secondary colours of the kel can be used to design the patterns on the egg. The accent colour is not required in the eggs design but you can use it! It should be used sparingly, however.
Patterns and designs on the egg should remain very simple in shape. Blobs, spots, bands, and speckles are all allowed. IF your kel starts with any marking upgrades, those can show on the egg! Additionally, if you want to add a more intricate shape, the shape of the kel's gem can be used as a sort of stamp in the egg's design. *NOTE: You can use the gem shape but not it's colour!
The following will be rolled kels and possible egg designs for them! The final one will always be wrong with a brief explanation of what is wrong with it.
The first two eggs are a-okay! The patterns remain simple, the base is the same as the kel's base, and the accent colour is used sparingly!
The third egg has some issues. First of all, it is unclear which colour is the base since two of the colours share about the same amount of space. Secondly, this egg features stripes when the kel doesn't! Finally, the final colour is the eye colour and not the accent!
Again, the first two eggs are good to go! The first uses simple shapes, a marking found on the kel (gradients), and uses the base gem shape as a shape!
The second egg is very nice and simple. Remember, you aren't required to use the accent colour!
Our final egg has some pattern issues! The bands are too thin. While star is a valid gem shape, it isn't the shape this kel has! Lastly, the accent colour takes up too much of the design! The accent should be used sparingly, remember!
