Bri'Saw is a town full of mercenaries and monster hunters, mainly inhabited by Siren Kels.
Bri'Saw is a small town found on the north-west coast of Il'Ithian and is practically cut from the rest of the world due to a massive mountain range. The settlement is situated on a cliff side, leading to the town being spread vertically rather than horizontally.
This town knows 4 seasons, experiencing mild and wet winters, warm springs, humid and stormy summers and chill falls. Luckily, a handful of islands off the coast shelter the town from large natural disasters.
Inspiration for Bri'Saw's architecture can be found with Astera (Monster Hunter World) and Berk (How To Train Your Dragon). They use a variety of wood, stone, metal and monster material (hide, bones, etc.) in their buildings, along with expanding natural caves alongside the cliff.
Bri'Saw, despite its smaller size, is buzzing with energy. Everyone is acquainted with everyone else, but the townsfolk may seem a little scary at first glance. Almost everyone is a tough warrior, and oftentimes, cages hold monsters to be studied.
Bri'Saw is self-sufficient, living off hunting nearby monsters and fishing to sustain itself. Some hunters may be protective of their catch, seeking to feed themselves first, along with their family first, before sharing. This leads to crimes like petty theft being semi-common, albeit you don't want to steal from the wrong kel... and there are many wrong kels.
This mentality of 'me first' often leads to discourse within the town, discourses that can last days, weeks, or even months! This is especially common over land monsters and sea monsters. Whenever those discourses are over, the town has large feasts to celebrate the town's unity... until it happens again.
But why is the town split in two so often?
Bri'Saw is actually... bigger than it seems. Of the few visitors the town sees per year, most only know of the Cliff District! This part of town has the Town Hall, the Lumi Tree and the Hatchery, so everything important should be in there, right? Well, it seems like the second district is the Sea District and is purely underwater!
Meet the Sea District, the bigger district which remains fully hidden under the water, houses its Lumerian Temple, as well as the Bri'Saw treasury! Most of the siren residents live in this district.
The in-fighting is always between the two districts, with the Sea dwellers refusing to share their catch from the seas, and the Land dwellers refusing to share their catch from the lands.
What is a Lumi Tree? It is the protector of everything that surrounds it. It has the power to repel any creature born with ill intent. It is unclear how it can do that.
Bri'Saw's tree is over 45ft tall, and thus renders it too difficult to harvest the orbs safely. Because of that, Bri'Saw has little to no lumi orb technology. The few orbs found in the town are in the Cliff District as light sources.
Bri'Saw's tree is linked to the water magic element.
The tree is situated on the edge of the cliff where the settlement is, partially hanging over the water.
Bri'Saw's Town Hall's main entrance is off to the side of the cliff, where the top of the waterfall is. The waterfall has a dry passageway next to it, leading to a large cavern with an underground lake.
The room where the lake is is the Town Hall, a room used for important discussions regarding Bri'Saw and a room to receive visitors in. It has seating both inside and outside of the lake, so everyone can sit comfortably. The room also has multiple other access points for the townsfolk.
Bri'Saw's mediocre library is also found here, but there are very few books.
The view of the inside of the room is still a WIP.

A large cave found above a big reef houses many anemone and algae beds for kelings and akelings. There are a duo of caves used for storage nearby that can be used for kelings who cannot breathe underwater.
A large net protects the opening from large marine animals entering and endangering the kelings swimming in there.
The hatchery is used more for daycare than orphaned keling housing, as the town doesn't have many eggs dropped off due to it being so isolated. Kelings are often dropped off there during the day while their parents are off on hunts.
If the temperature dangerously drops during winter, the few residing kels and kelings will move deeper into the Sea District's Temple until the temperatures are safe again.

Bri'Saw's Lumerian Temple can be found underwater in the Sea District. Kels will gather around here if they ever seek the wisdom of Lumiere.
While the building isn't used often, it is well-maintained and comfortable. During harsh winters, hatchery residents will use the temple for shelter.
