An International Business and Management Science double major senior at UCSD.
I'm from Shanghai, China, and have been studying abroad in the states for 8 years now. One reason that I chose Food, Culture, & Society as my INTL190 topic is that I have experienced the cultural differences fused in the foods across the pacific ocean. From China to the US, food has been an important tool for me to communicate and adapt to distinctive environments and communities. It is also one way for me to learn about the new culture I'm approaching each time I move to a new region.
My Interests
As a business-related major, I'm into the Marketing industry and looking at it for my future career path.
Fashion has been another interest of mine. And for me, one person's style and outfit express him/her in an explicit way.
K-pop is the music genre that I listened to the most. It's not just about the music, but also the music video, the industry, idol culture, and entertainment as a whole.
