Some focus groups are in-person, while others can be done remotely. A couple of studies that were going on when I searched the platform were:
1) Share your digital banking experiences — $45 for 30 minutes
2) Men’s fashion website testing — $50 for 60 minutes
According to the Respondent’s website, the average hourly pay is $140 per hour, and payments are made via PayPal.

This website has been well-reviewed by its participants. Recruit and Field connect consumers in the US with online (webcam) studies and focus groups.
Participants of any age, gender, or career path are welcome. Payment is available through PayPal, and also digital gift cards. Payment ranges from $100 to $275 per study.
3. 20|20 Panel
20/20 conducts in-person research studies in Nashville, TN, Miami, FL, and Charlotte, NC, as well as online research studies.
20|20 Panel was founded in 1986 and has been seen in The Wall Street Journal. A few of the companies they’ve done the research for are Kraft, P&G, Frito-Lay, Disney, and Dell.
Studies pay between $50 — and $150 or more. Apply online for opportunities.
The name speaks for itself. Online Surveys for Rewards connects participants with focus groups available both online and in person.
To qualify for studies, you complete “screener” surveys. The website is user-friendly, and you can browse the studies available to check their rates.
The average pay per study is between $70 and $250. Payment methods can vary per study. They can include checks, gift cards, cash, or prepaid Visa cards (valid up to 180 days.)
5. Survey Junkie
Survey Junkie isn’t just about surveys, although it often has tons of them available to its users.
It also has paid focus groups for some panelists who qualify based on their survey answers or profile information.
If you pre-qualify for one, Survey Junkie will notify you via an e-mail invitation. Survey Junkie also has some mobile surveys available through its app.
