For my pinch pot I chose a small, simple shape with a simple bottom. I didn't use too many tools for this pot, I mostly used my hands. I chose a really pretty green satin matte glaze, Chartreuse SM-44. I experimented by using the pinching technique, starting the clay in a ball and then pinching it with my hands to create a pot and I really enjoyed it. My project evolved from a colorless ball to a bright green pot.

The idea of this piece is to make a pinch pot, It doesn't really have a story because it was a very specific assignment. I'm proudest of the coil on the bottom, I was scared that it was going to warp and be unstable but it is very flat. I struggled with making the sides and insides of my pot smooth although, but I focused on it and figured it out. I think if I did this project again I would have taken more time with that, but I am very happy with my little pot.

For my multiple pinch pot assignment, I decided to make a high heel. I made 5 pinch pots that were constructed together. The pinch pots are shown above in picture E. I then attached these pots together and let them dry. I used the glaze SM-51 for the bottom and SM-1 for the black interior and exterior. I experimented by using the pinching technique and using multiple pots to create something. my project evolved from a couple of pieces of clay to a heel.

The idea of the piece of a Louboutin heel. I felt inspired to make one because they are iconic and easily recognized. I also liked the color combo. I'm proudest of the structure, I thought it was going to fall apart, but it is pretty sturdy. I really struggled with making the sides smooth, but I did the best I could.
