Circle Drawing and Logos

"Montana Sky"

for my circle art drawing, I chose to do embroidery, and for my logos I used Sharpie. For both of my pieces, I used a pencil for sketching, even on the fabric. I then drew/embroidered over the pencil and then erased it. I experimented with different ways to create mountains; by embroidering them, and purifying and making them simple for a logo.

I used lines and shapes in my logo art to make it as simple as possible yet, to still get across the message of the logo. I used color and value in my embroidery Circle art to show what was going on in the art.

The idea of the circle art was a sunrise over mountains in Montana. It could really be anywhere, but my dad absolutely loves Montana and always comes back with pictures sort of like my art. I got my inspiration to do embroidery from a video online I saw, but it was my first time so it wasn't as neat as I had expected, but that is okay. I'm proudest of the flowers in the front, I think it adds a dimension to the piece. I struggled with the materials I had, if I had more time I would go to the store and buy different colors of embroidery floss, but I came to terms with them and I think it turned out pretty well.
