Edit Mode

Edit Mode On / Edit Mode OFF

As faculty, you are assigned the "Instructor" role in Blackboard. You have the ability to create and edit content in your Blackboard course shell. There may be times when you want to turn off the editing features and view the course in a streamlined view for course facilitation. The Edit Mode feature allows to you toggle between your course build view with buttons and options available and a teaching view.

Located on the upper right corner, instructors and teaching assistants can toggle between Edit ON and Edit OFF. Edit ON affords you the ability to create, edit and delete content in the course. 

Turn Edit Mode ON / Turn Edit Mode OFF

1. Located in the upper right corner of the screen is the EDIT button

2. To turn ON or OFF, click the EDIT button

   • When ON, the button illuminated with a green dot

   • When OFF, the button is grayed out
