YouTube will store your videos and screen recordings. Learn the steps to upload, save, and then embed your videos. Use your STCC YouTube account to store your videos. Blackboard is not made to store large video files.
Instructional Advice
Always be sure you are working within your STCC Gmail account.
Set your videos to be "unlisted." This gives you control of where and with whom to share your videos.

Save on desktop & name i.e. Week 1 Welcome Video
Navigate to STCC Gmail
Click on apps scroll
Click Youtube
Be sure you are in your STCC email
Click library- left navigation bar
Click camera upload icon
Select unlisted for Privacy
Drag and drop video from desktop into YouTube
The video will render-length of video will determine time to render
Unlisted is a highly recommended settings as it gives you control of who is able to view the video.
Increase YouTube Storage Space

Settings, Channel, Feature Eligibility and follow the phone verification prompts.
Quick Steps Embed Video into Blackboard
Determine where you want to add your video:
Navigate to Blackboard. You may embed video anywhere you have a content editor such as items, assignments, discussions, and tests. To add a new item:
Hover over Build Content, and select Item.
Add a name for the Item, and any desired text.
Click Submit.
Select the video in YouTube for the video you want to embed:
Click on the video name.
Click Share.
Click Embed button.
Click Copy to copy the embed code.
Embed the video in Blackboard:
Click on the dropdown menu for the Blackboard content where you would like for the video to appear, and select Edit.
Click Source Code <> button.
In the window that opens paste the copied video embed code.
Click Save.
Add any additional instructions or information about the video.
Click Submit.
YouTube Closed Captions
YouTube creates automatic closed captions to uploaded videos.
These closed captions are approximately 60-80% accurate.
It is highly recommended you check and perhaps edit the automatic closed captions YouTube creates.
Quick Steps to Edit YouTube Closed Captions
Use the YouTube captions editor
Go to your Video Manager.
Next to the video you want to edit captions for, click Edit > Subtitles and CC.
Click on the caption track you want to edit.
Select a specific line in the caption track panel: On your keyboard, press the up or down arrow to adjust timing. ...
Click Save changes.
