Using Repondus & Respondus Monitor
STCC has a license for Respondus LockDown Browser and 1200 seats for Respondus Monitor. If you desire to use either of these tools, please read these notes, speak to your Dean [or direct supervisor] and email mwiseman@stcc.edu if you have any questions.
Respondus: May be used by any faculty in any teaching modality.
Respondus LockDown Browser® is a custom browser that locks down the testing environment within a learning management system.
Respondus Monitor:
Watch this video to discover the differences between Respondus LockDown Browser and Respondus Monitor.
Fully Online Courses: Respondus Monitor is approved for use in 100% online courses, where it provides a secure, proctored testing environment.
Hybrid Courses: Use of Respondus Monitor in hybrid courses (those with both face-to-face and online components) should be limited to the online portion only.
In-Person Courses: Respondus Monitor should not be employed for assessments administered during on-campus, in-person sessions.
