Police did not find any signs of a 17-year-old girl who has not been seen since Wednesday after their search of an area of Bent Mountain Roanoke County Friday.
Using cellphone analysis, authorities identified an area of about two miles across Bent Mountain to conduct a search for Sarabeth Rose Hammond, county police spokeswoman Amy Whittaker said. State police did an aerial search.
Whittaker said at 4 p.m. Friday that police concluded the search of the area and did not find anything.
Hammond was last heard from 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. She is described as 5 foot 3 inches tall and 115 pounds with green eyes and blonde hair.
