Prize Distribution Ceremony
The Prize Distribution Ceremony of the eSpiderZ 2012 : Website Designing Contest was held in the Main Seminar Hall of the College on 12 October 2012. The Programme was presided over by dr V N Krishnachandran, Vice-Principal and Head of department of Computer Applications. Ms Aparna S Balan, Assistant Professor, welcomed the gathering and Mr Aneesh, Secretary of ViCA : Vidya Academy Computer Applications Association proposed vote of thanks. Dr Sudha Balagopalan, Principal, distributed the prizes and certificates. In addition to the first three prizes, seven participants were awarded Certificates of Appreciation for notable performance in the contest.
After the award of the prizes, the prize winners presented their websites. They explained the main idea behind the site and also the features they have included in the website. It was a lively presentation funny, and entertaining.

Introduction
e-SpiderZ is an annual web-designing contest of the Department of Computer Applications. The first edition of the contest was held in the year 2010. The whole idea behind the contest is to nurture creativity and to promote a spirit of self-study and exploration among students. Currently, the contest is open only to students of Computer Applications Department of this College.
The challenge is to create the best web-site using the tools available with Google-sites. There is no restriction on the theme of the site. Prizes are determined based on the aesthetics of design and richness of content of the website. This year winners will be awarded cash prizes.
Format for submission of entries
Rules
The last date for submission of entries to e-SpiderZ 2012 is 04 September 2012.
- The entries are to be submitted in the prescribed format given below.
- You should not make any changes to the submitted site after 4.30 pm on 04 September 2012. You may make changes after the declaration of results.
- The link to “recent site activity” should be available for view for all during the period of evaluation of the site.
