MCA10 601 (P): THESIS WORK
The student is expected to work on a chosen topic, under the guidance of a supervisor approved by the department, at least for a period of four full months, as per the rules and regulations of the Calicut University.5 copies of the thesis have to be submitted, out of which three copies will be forwarded to the university. While one of the copies is for the guide, the other copy will be sent to the Library of the department.
University Examination
The thesis will be evaluated by the university by a panel consisting of the internal examiner and an external examiner who is appointed by the university. The candidate will be examined by a viva-voce examination and the thesis will be graded as shown below.
The student is expected to work on a chosen topic, under the guidance of a supervisor approved by the department, for a period of four full months. The evaluation of project and viva-voce will be conducted at the end with 350 marks with the following distribution
Internal Evaluation
An Evaluation Committee consisting of two faculty members will evaluate the project.
First evaluation after one month of commencement of Project :100 Marks
Second evaluation before completion of Project :100 Marks
External Evaluation
External Examiner (Thesis Evaluation + viva-voce) :125 Marks
Internal Examiner (viva-voce) :25 Marks
Guide will be the Internal Examiner.
All candidates will be allotted a grade S, A, C or D according to the total marks scored by him/her.
