R K Krishna Kumar

RK Krishna Kumar joined TAS in 1963, after graduating with a master’s degree from the University of Madras. He was initially posted in Tata Industries, after which he moved to other Tata companies.

Mr Krishna Kumar joined Tata-Finlay and, from then on, became involved with the group's tea and coffee businesses with a consumer focus. He became the managing director of Tata Tea in 1991. On his relocation to Mumbai in 1997, Mr Krishna Kumar’s engagement extended to other Tata companies.

Mr Krishna Kumar is currently a director on the Tata Sons board, chairman of Tata Coffee, chairman of Infiniti Retail (Croma), chairman of Tata Realty and Infrastructure, chairman of Casa Décor, chairman of Tata Housing and Development Company and vice chairman of Tata Tea and of Indian Hotels. He is a trustee of the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust, the Sir Ratan Tata Trust and some allied Tata trusts. He is a member of the governing council of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) and chairman of the governing board of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). He was given the Padma Shri Award in 2008 by the Government of India.

Dr. K. Kesavasamy

Dr. K. Kesavasamy is working with Tata Consultancy Services since 1995. He is presently the Global Head

of TCS Academic Interface Programme and also the Head of TCS, Trivandrum. He had earlier served Indian

Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for about a decade, as a Software Scientist. He is a Ph.D. in theoretical

physics. He has 34 years of varying experience in Software Development, Software Testing, System

Management, Software Engineering Standards, Digital Image Processing, Remote Sensing Applications,

Design & Development of Courseware (Software Engineering; Image Processing), Training Management

and Teaching. He is a Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA) and Qualified Assessor for Capability

Maturity Model. He had been a Visiting professor for Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode. He serves

as a member of Board of Studies of Computer Science in a few leading engineering institutions, across

India. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, Member of ACM, Life Member of Computer Society of India and

Life Member of Indian Society of Remote Sensing. He has several research publications in National /

International Journals / Conferences. His basic interests are Software Engineering Education and Software

Process Improvements.

Dr. John Joseph

Dr. John Joseph is working as a Corporate Manager for TCS Academic

Interface Programme and TCS Academic Relationship Manager for the

Kerala region. He joined Tata Consultancy Services in 1997 after

completing Ph.D. in solid state physics from Indian Institute of

Technology, Madras. He handled Software delivery for multinational

companies such as American President Lines. Target Corporation &

Aviva until 2007. He is a Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA) and

a member of ACM. He has several research publications in

International Journals.
