Circa 1850s- Peters House

Location: 1319 Grainger Ave., Knoxville

The Peters House, also known as Columned Portals, is on the National Register of Historic Places. Wikipedia.org has a list of the properties on the register for Knox County, Tennessee. The Peters House is listed at number 87, and it says "Built in the 1850s, remodeled in the 1890s by George Franklin Barber." However, Wikipedia also has a page just for the Peters House, and it says "The oldest part of the home was built in the 1860s as a four-room house, typical of an East Tennessee farmhouse." And then, on November 25, 2015, I went out to this house to take some pictures. There is a plaque on the wall on the front porch that says this house was built around 1885.

I'm not sure which one is accurate!
