1854- Thomas Brabson House

Location: 2778 Boyds Creek Highway, between Old Red Lane and Indian Warpath Road, in the Boyds Creek community along the French Broad River.

Thomas Brabson built this house was built in 1854. It was part of the historic Brabson's Ferry Plantation, which included the house of Thomas' brother, Benjamin Brabson (located just a short distance to the northeast of this house). There is a good Wikipedia entry about the Brabson's Ferry Plantation, which has some more information about Thomas Brabson's house.

This house is actually for sale right now (as of November 9, 2015), and there is a listing for it on Zillow.com. The listing includes a bunch of really good photos of the house, inside and out. I don't know how long this listing will be online (probably only until the house sells), so go to Zillow and see the pictures while you can!
