Circa 1795- Thomas-Frazier House

The Thomas-Frazier House was built around 1795.

Location: 3522 or 3530 Frazier Road, Knoxville.

(The Knox County Metropolitan Planning Commission, in its East County Sector Plan, lists the address as 3530. The Knox County GIS website lists the address as 3522 when you click on the property on the map.)

A publication called the “East County Sector Plan- February 2010” was put out by the Knoxville – Knox County Metropolitan Planning Commission. This is what it says about the Thomas-Frazier House:

“Most likely built in 1795 by William Thomas, this house was sold to George Stout in 1798. A year later, Jacob Kimberlin purchased the house from Stout and it was not lived in until it became the home of Alexander Frazier’s family around 1830, whose wife was Kimberlin’s granddaughter” (p. 21).

I haven't had an opportunity to go out and photograph this house yet, so in the meantime, here are a couple of screen shots of the house from Google Maps.

UPDATE, October 29, 2018: It appears that this house has been demolished. It no longer appears on Google's or KGIS.org's current aerial maps.
