1815- Brown Cemetery

There are multiple cemeteries in the Knoxville area with the name Brown Cemetery. On the website www.kgis.org, Knox County calls this one "Brown Cemetery II."

It is located between 7042 and 7038 Summer Oak Lane, Knoxville, in a neighborhood, surrounded by newer houses.

The website FindAGrave.com has a page for this cemetery. There are 31 interments listed on the page. The oldest one listed is for Peter Brown. According to the page, he was born on December 5, 1738 in Edinburgh, Scotland and died in 1815 in the Halls Crossroads area of Knoxville, which is where this cemetery is located.

I haven't had the opportunity to go out and photograph this cemetery yet. In the meantime, here is a screen shot that I saved from Google Maps.
