cactusflower…
muted trumpet…
and rest…
Arabian desert
yellow flower...
reminds the sun
it is merely a star
reviving her...
unfolding her eyes
to the placid
sweet sky...
morning doves
linger with her scent…
tamarind sincere blossoms
in deepest conviction
harvest raindrops...
sipping from each one,
with dignity...
cactusflower
Arabian dawn
yellow dawn…
picture of veiled mystery...
classical Raga brown hands
intently turning pages of prophetic verse...
fingers weaving harmonium spells
memorizing
each golden flower...
the sun awakens
a yellow dawn
ignites the sky,
Arabian dawn...
stillness,
whispers of
her petals opening,
patient
for a vision...
another presence of dawn
curtsies a new day
weds another Arabian nightfall...
gentle tabla breezes
melt into glory,
fertile black earth desert gardens...
cactusflower
perfectflower
ragawoman
breathes reverently...
soon desert shadows
will pass from her window
when she may unveil her eyes
behold the breaking Arabian dawn...
