Dancing Through Doorways

let’s dance each other dizzy

celebrating sunsets,

spilling ice cubes, drinks,

through bottomless glasses.

let’s dance shoeless,

eradicating beaches,

hesitant moons,

hailing and baiting phony Pharaohs 

and their drunken self-assured armies.

let’s dance barefoot

alleging our freedom,

furthering preposterous windmills, 

celebrating our ravishing power.

dance atop those suspicious ghosts

haunting this City,

ontop mirrors

we audaciously smashed.

let's dance arms enfolded

inside each other's alleyways,

legs forever stepping,

embracing hearts,

and welcoming temptations

never before imagined.
